I’ve known the owner, Missy, professionally for about 3 years now. As a social worker, I’ve worked with many placement agencies over the years- some were good, some not so good, and many were just decent. Missy is the absolute cream of the crop. She is kind, caring, compassionate and empathetic. She treats the families and individuals she works with as her own, and she is completely invested in wanting to find them the perfect community to suit their needs. She is truly so passionate about her work, and it reflects in all she does! I solely refer to her now, because I know that all of my families are in the best hands if she’s involved. If I needed placement services for my own mother, Missy would be my first call.
Missy has referred my company to many of her clients when she sees the need for our services. As a matter of fact, I was with a client today that she referred to us back in December and starting a second job with them soon! Any referral I get from from Missy I know the clients have been in good hands and were taken well care of – this makes my job easier and our clients are happy.
Twice my wife needed short term senior housing quickly and Missy took care of it. Home health care?, she knows that too. When we wanted to look at assisted living she obviously was very knowledgeable and connected us . She and Illuminate Senior Services will always be my go-to person for Senior Care.

Missy was such an invaluable support as we had the challenge of finding the best fit for my parents in an assisted living facility. There are so many options and so much hard sell marketing at each of the senior living centers. She listened to their needs and preferences then narrowed it down to the best options for them. She always followed up immediately on our questions and requests for additional details. She never pushed us on any of the options just presented us with options. My parents have enjoyed their assisted living facility for over a year and a half and counting.
I highly recommend Missy and Illuminate Senior Services. She was recommended to me and was so helpful. It can be a very overwhelming and difficult process and Missy has so much knowledge and compassion. She truly listens to what your personal situation is and then makes recommendations based on your wants and needs. She set up several tours and is with you through the entire process to answer questions and give recommendations. I am very grateful for Missy and would highly recommend her!
Missy was recommended to me and I am so thankful she was. My parents needed to move from their home to an independent living facility and were struggling with the process. Missy helped us through everything with such compassion and asked questions that we did not know to ask. After touring several facilities with me and my parents, she was able to pick up on what was most important to them in a new home and recommend a facility that had what they wanted. It was one we had not even considered. You can tell that she really cares that her clients go to a place that is best for them. Her background knowledge in the industry is so helpful when trying to navigate through stressful time. She was also able to provide support and suggestions for the move as well.

I was feeling overwhelmed, needing to quickly find a living solution for my parents that would meet their needs but also be cost-effective. It was an unexpected blessing and great relief to learn that Illuminate Senior Services were available to me at no cost through my parents’ PCP. Missy Krugh was great to work with. She came alongside as our advocate throughout the process…giving experienced advice, setting up tours, and working directly with facility directors to find the best options for us. Because of her guidance, I am confident and feel good about the decision I made.
We had to move our Mom from Cleveland to be near us in Columbus in about a 72 hour period. She was being released from the CClinic after a sudden illness and we had to figure out a solution very quickly. Missy was the calm in the storm. She set up tours and talked us through which arrangements would work best for Mom. I highly recommend using her as she has the inside scoop. She was especially helpful with hospital jargon and was a key advocate in helping us determine what the next step should be. We opted to skip Skilled and went right to senior living. So far, I believe we made the right decision as hard as it is to make. You want your parents to live independently and they are good, until they are not. This is a resource/company everyone should know about! And if you are not yet ready, use Missy so you understand all your options so you can be prepared. I only regret that I had not reached into her sooner. 5 stars!
“Where do I begin?” — The toughest part of helping your parents make such a difficult decision to transition to assisted living is getting started. I called Illuminate Senior Services and was so thankful to be connected with Missy Krugh. Throughout the entire process, she helped steer me in the right direction while personalizing all guidance to assure it was the right fit for my mother. Missy definitely treats each case individually as everyone is different and has varying needs. There are so many questions and things to consider when making such a life impacting change and Missy was able to professionally and empathetically lead me through it. I absolutely could not have done it without her!
