Worst moving experience ever. The owner of the company and I went over ever piece of furniture I have on the initial phone call. I asked her if they would be taking down my bed and putting it back together and she said yes. When to movers arrived they stated they were unaware of this and didn’t have the tools to take it apart nor did they know how to put it back together. My boyfriend had to take the bed down and help them put it back up. I also advised them I had a big sectional that could only be taken out through my balcony. The company failed to send the 2 movers out with a ladder so they struggled getting it out and once again my boyfriend had to assist. A job that should have taken 4 hours or less took 6 and that was only b/c my father and boyfriend stepped in to assist. This was easily a 3 man job yet they only sent two for the first 4 hours. The owners came by in what thought was to assist but simply sat in their car micro managing. My boyfriend heard the owner talking to one of the workers, and the owner complained I had “too much stuff”. Ummmm I am moving and hired a moving company so what did you expect?!!! One of the workers kept dropping and bumping my furniture and my Dad had to intervene b/c he was clearly nicking it and didn’t seem to care. Even after this I tipped them really well as they completed b/c I felt most of the issues stemmed from the owners not properly preparing them for the move…..and then it happened. I plugged in my 75 in TV only to find they had completely broken it. I immediately called the owner and I had to argue for two days to get them to agree to reimburse me for it. This is the absolute worst customer service and service period I ever experienced and I will shout it from the rooftops to not use them. I have a close family friend that used them the following week and although it’s their story to tell, I know for sure my experience wasn’t a “One off” but seems to be the norm.
Can not recommend them enough. We moved across the county line and they showed up with a plan and executed it perfectly. Our belongings were carefully wrapped and loaded onto both trucks. The owner is very responsive to your questions, sent all documents timely, and made sure numbers were accurate. They’re affordable and local. 5 stars!
We had a very positive experience with this company and highly recommend them for any moving needs you have. The movers were professional and hard working. We were moving from a home we had been in for 23 years to a patio home. We have been through a lot of moves over the years, mostly from state to state. I would give this company a five star rating. Out the Box did a wonderful job handling our office move! Tonesha was extremely responsive and helpful from the start. She answered all my questions and provided a very useful program to capture the amount and types of furniture needing to be moved. Everyone was professional and sooo careful with each item on moving day. Most furniture was wrapped with blankets or bubble wrap to ensure no damage occurred. The moving crew took apart our large desks, carried all items to the exact spots where we wanted them, and reassembled everything in a timely manner. They even moved a few items around for us when we decided they needed to go to another room. We were thrilled that we didn’t have to take things apart and put them back together ourselves over the course of several days! Nothing was damaged, and the owners of the company were present at the move just to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. As a business owner, I could tell how well the company is run and that quality of service is truly important to them.
I chose to use Out the Box Moving & Storage for my move from an apartment to a home. They we’re very professional from my initial contact to the final contact. I was treated respectfully and taken care of. The crew arrived on time and carefully wrapped my furniture and moved everything very timely as well as unloading all of my things carefully and timely as well. They actually moved quicker than my allotted time which is always a plus. I was very impressed that they provided me boxes to move, marker for labeling and a tape gun and tape refills a week prior to my move which saved me the hassle greatly!!! I was sent a very detailed invoice showing me everything I needed to know and my payment breakdown for reference. All in all this is a great company to use and I plan to refer them to everyone I know whom will be moving anytime soon.
